BioREU

The Johns Hopkins BioREU is a Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site funded by the National Science Foundation. This 10-week summer program is designed to provide an intensive, mentored research experience for undergraduates, especially those attending institutions with limited research opportunities.

MInDS participates in the BioREU program by providing graduate mentors for REU students in the biology department. We also organize activities such as journal clubs to help students acclimate to their research environments.

In 2023, MInDS piloted the BioREU Mentorship Experience (BioME) program to pair students with mentors and provide them with a workshop series.
