Prof. Hanke delivers the first John Ise Distinguished Lecture at the University of Kansas

On October 17th, Prof. Hanke had the pleasure of delivering the inaugural John Ise Distinguished Lecture, entitled “A Discussion on Economics and Everything Under the Sun,” at the University of Kansas.

This unique lecture was formatted as a conversation between Prof. Hanke and Prof. William Barnett, the University of Kansas Oswald Distinguished Professor of Macroeconomics, and the world’s greatest authority on aggregation theory and Divisia. Prof. Barnett is also a Fellow at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health, and the Study of Business Enterprise.

Their conversation covered everything from the history of hyperinflations to the importance of correctly measuring the money supply.
