Dr. Yilang Xu has joined our research group. Yilang recently graduated from the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering. His PhD research focused on studying the small-scale dynamics of Antarctic coastal polynyas using a combination of numerical circulation simulations, analytical scaling, and observational data. Yilang will work on an NSF-funded project on sub-inertial dynamics of the Greenland Scotland Ridge. Welcome to Hopkins, Yilang!
