These bodies provide a mechanism for faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (KSAS) to participate effectively in deliberations and governance at the school and university levels.

Krieger School Academic Council

The Krieger School Academic Council (KSAC) is the academic review and oversight body within the broader system of KSAS governance bodies. The electorate for KSAC Tenure and Promotion Committee members is tenure-line faculty. The electorate for KSAC At-Large members is all full-time faculty. Nominations and elections for KSAC are held annually in the spring.

KSAS Faculty Senate

The role of the KSAS Faculty Senate is to provide a forum for Krieger School faculty to participate effectively in the process of deliberative governance of the university. Membership in the Senate electorate is held by all faculty who have full-time or emeritus appointments in the Krieger School. Senate elections are held annually in the spring.

Krieger Leadership Assembly

The Krieger Leadership Assembly (KLA) is a connective, collaborative, and operational advisory body within KSAS whose purpose is to bring faculty, administration, and staff representatives together to consider faculty, staff, and student interests for the development and review of policies and issues that affect KSAS as a whole. The KLA consists of 26 voting members with a representative range of disciplines and roles.

Krieger School Staff Council

Homewood Faculty Assembly

The Homewood Faculty Assembly provides a forum for the faculty to discuss and make recommendations concerning matters pertaining to the purposes and functioning of the University.
