Dan Berger Presents the Washington Prison History Project

February 9, 2023 @ 12:00 pm 1:30 pm

Dan Berger, professor at University of Washington—Bothell, is co-curator of the Washington Prison History Project, a multimedia archive about prison activism in Washington state. In this conversation on Thursday, Feb. 9, with Prof. NDB Connolly, Berger will explain the origins of this archival project and describe how it provides a public accounting of the human magnitude of mass incarceration in the Northwest region as part of understanding its effects across the nation. The project emphasizes currently and formerly incarcerated people, who are rarely considered as political actors or constituencies.

This event is open to JHU graduate students, undergraduates, faculty, and staff.
