Monthly speaker series named in honor of civil rights activist Helena Hicks, a veteran of Baltimore’s earliest anti-segregation sit-ins of the 1950s. Each month, a Black scholar from Hopkins is invited to provide a lecture on a specialized topic covering race, STEM, and health disparities relevant to Baltimore City.
