Bioimaging has undergone many exciting developments in recent years, yet often it takes years to transition these emerging techniques into the hands of biological researchers.
The JHU Integrated Imaging Center are running a series of three one day workshops on the various routes that new instruments and techniques can take from initial development through to wider adoption. We will have a range of speakers covering strategies to expand usage of new developments in bioimaging. They will include technique developers, earlier adopters, facility managers and commercial partners. Additionally, each workshop will end with a panel discussion and a reception for networking and personnel exchange of experience.
The goal is to develop a network of interested parties with a wide range of experience. This network will help to foster development towards a more rapid and well documented array of routes for wider adoption.
The workshops will all be held in Washington DC at the spectacular new Bloomberg Center, 555 Pennsylvanian Ave.
The three workshops are:
December 13th 2024
Workshop 1: Focusing on moving instruments from bespoke development to wider access.
March 12th 2025
Workshop 2: Focused on software, for image analysis, instrument control and other relevant developments.
June 20th 2025
Workshop 3: Focusing on the route to commercial products.
There are travel bursaries available for students with preference given to early career researches and underrepresented groups within the field.
