The spectrometers are operated by users on a “self-service” basis. New students and clients that would like to use the instruments must contact the facility manager.

Training will be conducted at the instrument by the facility manager. The training will cover three primary areas:

• lab safety and operational overview
• hands-on training for the instrument by running through the acquisition of data from start to finish
• brief overview of processing (if applicable)

Training sessions will be provided on-demand. Due to space restrictions around the instruments a maximum of 3 students will be trained at one time.
