  • March 1, 2021:  Graduate student Evan Plunkett has finished his PhD!  He has moved to a postdoctoral position at UC Santa Barbara where he is studying electronic and photonic materials.
  • June 1, 2020: Undergraduate Katherine Xiang will be starting graduate school at Harvard in Physics in fall 2020. She is the recipient of both an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and a Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship.
  • February 1, 2020: Graduate student Yu Shi has finished his PhD!   He has moved to a postdoctoral position in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina where he will do biophysical research with the latest in lattice light sheet and other super resolution microscopy.
  • October 2, 2019: Postdoc Chen Yu Huang will be starting a faculty position at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan in early 2020.  She is a recipient of an “Einstein Grant” from the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology. This prestigious grant is awarded to young researchers to enable them to start independent research programs as new faculty members.
