
The Instrument Development Group (IDG) specializes in the development of instrumentation for research in astronomy, condensed matter physics and the natural sciences. The group is located within the William H. Miller III Department of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University. The IDG is comprised of professional engineers, with expertise in optical, mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Our world-class machinists specialize in the production of precision instrument components operating from a state-of-the-art fabrication facility within the Department.
