Post-doctoral Position in Environmental Chemistry

Professors Howard Fairbrother (Chemistry) and Joel Pedersen (Environmental Health and Engineering) at Johns Hopkins University invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher position focused on understanding, predicting and controlling the properties of MXenes, a recently discovered new class of two-dimensional inorganic compounds, under conditions relevant to environmental applications. This research will be conducted as part of the NSF Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology (CSN – https://susnano.wisc.edu/), an NSF-funded Center for Chemical Innovation (CCI). The candidate should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, or a related field. The post-doc will work jointly with Professors Howard Fairbrother and Joel Pedersen.

Applicants should submit an electronic version of their curriculum vitae and the names and contact information for 3 references to Professor Howard Fairbrother (howardf@jhu.edu). The anticipation is that the position will last for 2 years (renewable annually). Review of applications will begin immediately with a goal of filling the position sometime in the fall of 2021.
