Gregory Quiroz is a senior staff scientist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and an associate research professor at Johns Hopkins University. His primary research interests include the development and implementation of quantum characterization and control protocols and the application of those protocols to robust quantum algorithm design. Dr. Quiroz received his B.S. in Physics and B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside in 2007. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Southern California in 2013.

Fred Chong

Fred Chong is the Seymour Goodman Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago and the Chief Scientist for Quantum Software at Infleqtion. He is also Lead Principal Investigator for the EPiQC Project (Enabling Practical-scale Quantum Computing), an NSF Expedition in Computing. Chong is a member of the National Quantum Advisory Committee (NQIAC) which provides advice to the President on the National Quantum Initiative Program. In 2020, he co-founded Super.tech, a quantum software company, which was acquired by Infleqtion (formerly ColdQuanta) in 2022. Chong received his Ph.D. from MIT in 1996 and was a faculty member and Chancellor’s fellow at UC Davis from 1997-2005. He was also a Professor of Computer Science, Director of Computer Engineering, and Director of the Greenscale Center for Energy-Efficient Computing at UCSB from 2005-2015. He is a fellow of the ACM and the IEEE, a recipient of the NSF CAREER award, the Intel Outstanding Researcher Award, and 16 best paper awards. He is also a recipient of the Quantrell Award, the oldest undergraduate teaching award in the United States, as well as the University of Chicago’s Graduate Teaching and Mentoring Award. His research interests include emerging technologies for computing, quantum computing, multicore and embedded architectures, computer security, and sustainable computing.

Pranav Gokhale

Infleqtion

Dr. Pranav Gokhale is Infleqtion’s Vice President and General Manager of Computing. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Super.tech, which was acquired by Infleqtion (ColdQuanta) in May 2022. Pranav has a PhD in quantum computer science from UChicago, where his research led to three best paper awards, over a dozen publications, and three patents. His work spans the full stack of quantum technology, from low-level pulse optimization to compilation to fault-tolerant quantum algorithm design and benchmarking. Pranav’s key application focus is the intersection of quantum technology and AI.

Anders Petersson

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Anders Petersson is a computational mathematician in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing @ LLNL, where he currently leads projects on Quantum optimal control and characterization. Anders’ research lies at the cross-section of numerical methods for wave propagation, high performance computing, optimization and optimal control.  Anders previously lead the development of the exa-scale computing code SW4 for large scale seismic wave propagation, under the Serpentine Wave Propagation Project.

Gokul Subramanian Ravi

University of Michigan

Gokul Ravi is an assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on the design of scalable quantum algorithms and architectures, with an emphasis on hybrid quantum-classical optimization, fault-tolerant quantum computing, and near-term quantum error mitigation. Dr. Ravi received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2020 and subsequently held a postdoctoral position as an NSF CRA/CCC Computing Innovation Fellow at the University of Chicago from 2020 to 2023.

Nathan Shammah

Unitary Foundation

Nathan Shammah is the chief technology officer and board member of Unitary Foundation. Dr. Shammah received his BSc. and MSc. in Physics from the University of Milan, Italy, and a PhD in Physics from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom in 2016. He was a postdoctoral researcher in Japan at RIKEN. HIs research interests include open-source software for quantum technology, quantum compilation, quantum benchmarking, quantum error mitigation and cooperative phenomena in many-body quantum systems out of the equilibrium.

Will Zeng

Unitary Foundation

Dr. William Zeng is a partner at Quantonation, investing in early stage quantum and deep physics technology companies. He is also founder and President of the Unitary Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to developing the quantum ecosystem to benefit the most people. His research focuses on quantum computer architecture, algorithms and software. He previously led a quantum computing research group at Goldman Sachs and initial development of Rigetti Computing’s quantum cloud platform. He received his PhD in quantum algorithms from Oxford University and his BSc. in Physics from Yale University.
