Thursday, September 25 5:30–7:00 pm
Baltimore Museum of Art | Meet at the Front Steps of the Merrick Entrance

Experience an unforgettable evening with celebrated artist and poet Cecilia Vicuña as she leads a participatory performance and reads from her new work, The Deer Book / Libro Venado (Radius Books, 2024). Joined by award-winning poet and translator Daniel Borzutzky, Vicuña offers a meditative tribute to the deer, imagining it as a creature that moves between worlds.

Please note that this performance will take place in Stony Run Park. Participants will meet at the BMA and walk together to the performance site, which is less than a 15 minute walk from the Museum.

Presented in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Alexander Grass Humanities Institute, the Program in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies, and the Tidewater Initiative.
