Research assistants are involved in a variety of tasks, including data analysis, abstract development, poster creation, conference presentations, and more. In order to gain familiarity with the constructs that are studied in our lab, students are expected to do a comprehensive review of the literature on coping processes, rumination, and co-rumination in their first semester with us. Subsequently, research assistants delve deeper into the research process by contributing more directly to our ongoing projects.
To be eligible to apply to become a research assistant, students must:
- Be a current Johns Hopkins undergraduate student
- Have completed AS.200.212 Psychopathology (formerly known as Abnormal Psychology)
- Commit at least 3 hours/week to the lab’s activities for two consecutive semesters
We solicit applications typically in the summer. If you would like to become an undergraduate research assistant with us, please complete this Google Form to indicate your interest. We will follow up with you during the next round of recruitment.
