This instrument is a High Mass Resolution quadrupole Orbitrap mass spectrometer that contains a high capacity transfer tube and electrodynamic ion funnel to maximize ion signal over a broad mass range. It is normally equipped with a nano-spray ion source and is coupled with a Thermo Ultimate 3000 nano LC system. It is primarily utilized for structural analysis of proteins and the whole cell proteome and is operated in collaboration with the Fried Research Group.
