This project is a newly-funded 3-year project built on a collaboration between cognitive scientists and colleagues in computer science and education. The fellow will be involved in all aspects of the research, including organizing the research team, designing stimuli, recruiting and testing child participants, analyzing data, and preparing the results for publication. \u00a0He\/ she will also be expected to interface with colleagues in computer science who will be using the cognitive data to construct machine-learning models of the block-building process. \u00a0The team assembled for this project is highly interdisciplinary, and there will be substantial opportunity for the fellow to broaden his\/her skill set as well as to interact with the Science of Learning community at Johns Hopkins. \u00a0Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact Dr. Barbara Landau, Department of Cognitive Science (<a href=\"mailto:landau@jhu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">landau@jhu.edu<\/a>) or Dr. Amy Shelton, School of Education (<a href=\"mailto:ashelton@jhu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">ashelton@jhu.edu<\/a>). \u00a0Applicants should include a letter of interest, a cv, \u00a0and the names of three references who will be writing\u00a0recommendation letters. \u00a0Applications will be reviewed promptly.
