Purposes:<\/p>\n

  1. To explore and develop the use of rotating tank experiments and gyroscopes in teaching of oceanic and atmospheric science.\"OC3D<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. To write textbooks, such as Ocean Circulation in Three Dimensions<\/a>. A new textbook manuscript on “Conceptual Modeling in Earth & Planetary Sciences” is in preparation.<\/li>\n
  3. To visit schools and talk about oceans, atmospheres, climate, and high-latitude exploration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I worked on this topic with Deepak Cherian<\/a>, who was an undergraduate intern in my group, Robbie Nedbor-Gross, the Weather in a Tank<\/a> team based at MIT, and Barry Klinger<\/a>.<\/p>\n
