Norms, Procedures, Charter (NPC) Committee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Charge: To undertake periodic review of the Senate Charter and propose and manage its amendments. The committee will also propose norms and procedures of the Senate, which are outside of the Senate charter and that are codified in a norms and procedures document and ratified by the Senate annually. The committee will provide consultation to the Senate on historical norms and procedures to inform current practices.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n- N. Peter Armitage, Chair<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Committee on Graduate Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Charge: The SGC Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs subcommittee advises the Dean on the KSAS on school-level issues impacting both graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The senate graduate education subcommittee consists of the senators who are also on the SGC subcommittee and can convene separately if needed to address any emergent issues that affect both our Phd and Master\u2019s students.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n- Steven Farber, Chair<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Charge: To liaise and collaborate with the Core Academic Matters (CAM) committee on both faculty outreach for CAM\u2019s proposals and the future of faculty and shared governance in the Krieger School post-Homewood Academic Council (HAC). Charge: To analyze and discuss the current state of the teaching infrastructure on Homewood campus with a particular emphasis on classroom readiness and availability. The committee will provide recommendations and feedback to the KSAS Dean\u2019s Office and the University Registrar as well as other relevant groups so as to effect positive change. It is expected that the committee\u2019s work will be done substantially with\u2014but not necessarily only with\u2014an analogous committee from the WSE Senate.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n- Peter N.
