Welcome to my personal website!
I am an Akbari-Mack and Provost Diversity Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department for Physics & Astronomy at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, US. Before starting this position, I completed my PhD at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and ESO as a fellow of the International Max Planck Research School on Astrophysics (IMPRS). In October 2017, I will start an ESO Fellowship at their headquarters in Garching, Germany.
I am interested in various aspects of extragalactic astronomy, in particular AGN physics and feedback, in multi-wavelength spectral and photometric AGN signatures and in the role of AGN in galaxy evolution. I am also very interested in the built-up of large scale structure in the early phases of the Universe and am actively involved in many high-redshift galaxy cluster studies.
