Courses: Academic English (3 different levels offered), History and Practice of US Higher Education, American Culture, and college prep workshops and tours.

July 9, 2018-August 3, 2018 (4-weeks) EducationUSA Academy + JHU Global Health

Courses: College Writing, History and Practice of US Higher Education, American Culture, Global Health, and college prep workshops and tours.

Academic Immersive English Courses

College Writing (offered to students in the 4-week program/Advanced Plus/Near-Native Speakers Only)

We offer three levels of Academic English (Intermediate, Advanced, and Advanced Plus)
Each student will be evaluated on-site by a certified language instructor to assess their level.

First course: Listening and Speaking
Second course: Reading and Writing

or College Writing

Lunch Break

Afternoon (Monday and Friday)

We offer specialized workshops and campus tours/visits that vary week to week. You’ll meet International undergraduate college students who will share their experiences in the U.S. higher education system.
Topics include: “The tools to success as a U.S. college student,” “What you need to apply to U.S. colleges and universities as an International student?,” “Scholarship opportunities” and many more!

Third course: American Culture

Evening

Dinner
Fun activities in the dorm that include: pizza party, and American cooking classes!

Weekend Programming

Tours of the Baltimore Inner Harbor, Washington, DC and historic Annapolis, MD
Fun trip to Hershey Theme Park in Pennsylvania! Birthplace of the Hershey Chocolate!

 

 

All programs offer college credit (2 week= 1 credit, 4 weeks= 3 credits)
